Report on the Girl‘s Day at OPUS Formenbau

On 03.04.25, OPUS Formenbau hosted this year's Girl‘s Day, an exciting event that gave girls the opportunity to gain an insight into the world of technology and mold making. The aim of Girl‘s Day is to get young women interested in technical professions and to show them the diverse career opportunities that exist in this industry.

The day began with a warm welcome for the participants from the OPUS Formenbau team. After a brief introduction to the company and its areas of activity, the girls were given the opportunity to visit various departments. They were able to experience at first hand how molds are produced and which technologies are used.

A highlight of the day was a practical workshop in which the participants were able to lend a hand themselves. Under the guidance of experienced employees, they were able to design and produce a beautiful Easter gift. This not only encouraged the girls' technical understanding, but also their creativity.

The Girl‘s Day at OPUS Formenbau was a complete success. The participants went home with new impressions, valuable information and perhaps even one or two new career aspirations.

The company has once again shown how important it is to promote young talent and strengthen diversity in technical professions.

We are already looking forward to the next Girl’s Day and to inspiring even more girls for the fascinating world of mold making!

Report on the training fair in the town of Neckargemünd with exhibitor OPUS Formenbau

On Friday 21.03.25, the town of Neckargemünd held its first training fair, bringing together numerous companies and interested students. Among the exhibitors was OPUS Formenbau, a company specializing in the manufacture of molds for the automotive industry.

The fair offered pupils the opportunity to find out about various apprenticeships and career opportunities. OPUS Formenbau presented itself with an appealing stand that contained both informative materials and interactive elements. The company's employees were on hand to answer visitors' questions and provide an insight into the various apprenticeships offered by OPUS, including precision mechanic mold making, technical product designer, office management assistant and the dual Bachelor of Engineering course.

They reported on the positive experiences that trainees have in the company and emphasized the good support and the opportunity for personal and professional development.

The training fair in Neckargemünd was a complete success and provided an excellent platform for exchange between companies and future trainees. OPUS Formenbau was able to address many interested young people and introduce them to the exciting prospects in mold making.

STEINACH VALLEY APPRENTICESHIP AND JOB FAIRE

As part of the first “ APPRENTICESHIP AND JOB FAIR STEINACH VALLEY” in the
Schönau town hall, OPUS presented itself with an exhibition stand and was available for interested parties.

We were delighted to have the opportunity
to give our visitors an exciting insight into the world of toolmaking and, in particular, the field of vehicle seals for body systems.

The training fair attracted a number of visitors: pupils, parents, whole families and
curious people from all over the Steinach Valley
The nice thing about a training faire like this is that graduates can meet relevant
people involved in an apprenticeship in person.

Peter Klötzl is a trainer for precision mechanics and has been with the company for 18 years.
He knows first-hand about the qualities you need to bring with you to this profession.

Marcel Schwöbel, himself a recent apprentice, was happy to answer questions about this profession and his experiences at OPUS.

In our opinion, the first training and job faire in Steinach Valley was a complete success.

We congratulate our employees to their anniversary!

From our workshop, we congratulated Jonas Staub on 10 years and Christian Schmelzer on 15 years with the company. Mathias Alilovic and Max Rehberger from the construction department also celebrated their 15th anniversary.

During a ceremony, Managing Director Markus Weber and authorized signatory Markus Kohl presented the jubilarians with certificates and gifts.

OPUS says THANK YOU from the bottom of its heart! We would like to thank all those celebrating their anniversaries for their great commitment, reliability and loyalty. We are very happy to have such committed employees in our team.

Career evening at Neckargemünd secondary school

For many pupils, the question arises as to what to do after secondary school? That's why OPUS took part in the career evening at the secondary school in Neckargemünd on March 7, 2024.

After a brief welcome, the Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to find out about the various apprenticeships at OPUS. With a great deal of curiosity, they listened to the presentation by workshop foreman Peter Klötzl and design engineer Georg Beisel. They were supported by Joshua Glas, who recently finished his apprenticeship as a precision mechanic at OPUS and was able to give a first-hand account of the company's own “Zukunftswerkstatt”.

OPUS is currently training apprentices to become precision mechanics, office management assistants and technical product designers. OPUS also offers a dual study program in mechanical engineering. Our aim is to offer talented young people highly qualified training.
